Founder & CEO

Vijitha founded Kavi Global in 2008 after working in data analytics at GE and realizing the acute need, and market opportunity, for a full-service data analytics consulting company. 

Vijitha is extremely passionate about creating value across the entire analytics lifecycle by offering comprehensive and integrated analytical solutions, software and services to help companies maximize the value of their data and accelerate digital transformation. He believes in guiding clients and Kavi to continuous growth through innovation leveraging new best practice processes and frameworks. 

 A trusted business leader and advisor in analytics, Vijitha regularly consults with other industry leaders and analysts on topics including business strategy, systems solutions, AI, core data management and more. 

Prior Experience

Prior to launching Kavi Global, Vijitha spent 14 years leading award-winning data analytics teams at GE and United Airlines. At GE, Vijitha pioneered the award-winning Business Analytics program at GE Rail Services. Under his leadership, GE Rail Services was honored with the SAS Innovation Award in 2007 and prestigious TDWI Enterprise Intelligence award in 2008. Prior to GE, Vijitha worked in the Corporate Research and Development Group at United Airlines. 

Education

Vijitha holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Georgian Polytechnic Institute in Tbilisi, Georgia, and a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from the University of Arizona.
